The Kansas volleyball team defeated West Virginia in five sets (25-20, 25-20, 25-15, 25-17, 15-13) Thursday night at Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena.
KU lost the second and fourth set, but ultimately found a way to finish things off with a narrow win in the final set. The Jayhawks earned their first Big 12 win of the season with the thrilling victory over the Mountaineers.
Kansas snapped a seven-match skid with the win, earning its first victory since Sept. 12 against Morehead State.
KU (5-9, 1-3 Big 12) will travel to Texas Tech at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
