Kansas University outfielder Brock Simpson has decided to skip his senior season and sign with the Cleveland Indians.

Simpson, a 6-foot-3 left-handed hitter from Washburn Rural, hit .256 with three home runs, 42 RBIs and 13 stolen bases as the Jayhawks’ starting right-fielder last spring.

Simpson was selected by the Indians in the 46th round of June’s free agent draft.
